A 45-year-old reality star was awarded one euro in compensation following the conclusion of a Paris armed robbery case, according to The Associated Press.
Kim Kardashian, 45, is an alum of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the outlet reported.
On Tuesday, September 15, a Paris court awarded 1 euro, equivalent to $1.15, to Kardashian, The Associated Press reported.
The decision was handed down nearly 10 years after she was held at gunpoint in France, according to the outlet.
Kardashian was allegedly forced to hand over her expensive jewelry during the incident, the outlet reported.
A lawyer involved in the case claimed Kardashian requested 1 euro as compensation following the conclusion of the case, according to the report.
Us reached out to Kardashian’s attorneys and reps for comment, the outlet reported.
Kardashian did not address the monetary aspect of her case. Instead, she issued a joint statement with stylist Simone Harouche on Tuesday thanking the French justice system for working diligently, the report stated.
Harouche, who was present during the robbery, was also awarded the 1 euro she asked for, according to The Associated Press.
“We are grateful to the French justice system for recognizing us as victims of the terrible events that took place in Paris in 2016,” the pair told Us in a statement, adding, “The experience was deeply traumatic, and its impact has stayed with us.”
“Today’s decision is not about the compensation, but about accountability and recognition,” Kardashian and Harouche continued.
“We are thankful to the Court and everyone who supported us throughout this process, and we hope to now move forward and continue to heal,” the pair stated in the joint release.
In October 2016, Kardashian traveled to Paris for Fashion Week, carrying with her a case of jewelry worth over $10 million, according to the report.
Five men reportedly broke into her room claiming to be law enforcement while the reality star was alone in her hotel room one night, according to reports.
The intruders demanded she hand over her $4 million engagement ring from then-husband Kanye West, the report stated.
“I heard a noise at the door, like, footsteps, and I shouted to ask who was there, but no one answered,” Kardashian told the French police, according to Le Journal du Dimanche.

“I called my bodyguard at 2:56 a.m. Then, beyond the sliding doors, I saw two people arrive with the gentleman from reception, and he was tied up,” Kardashian told French police, according to the records.
“Both men were hooded, one had a ski mask and he had a cap and a jacket with ‘police’ on it,” Kardashian alleged, according to the report.
“The second man had the same ‘police’ clothes, but did not have any ski mask. … It was the one with the ski mask who stayed with me,” she alleged, according to the records.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum claimed that the assailants tied her up and pointed a gun at her before leaving with the jewels, the report stated.
Harouche later recalled being woken up to a sound she had never heard before from her longtime friend, Harouche recalled, according to reports.
The stylist was asleep downstairs when the alleged robbery transpired, Harouche told Palais de Justice.
“It was terror,” Harouche told Palais de Justice.
“What I heard specifically was ‘I have babies and I need to live, take everything, I need to live,’” Harouche said, according to the records.
“She came into my room and she had tape around her. I thought she could have been raped or very violated,” Harouche stated, according to the transcript.
In January 2017, multiple suspects were arrested in connection with the heist, according to reports.
Ten individuals were eventually charged in connection with the robbery, records show.
The case went to trial in spring 2025, according to court records.
Eight of the 10 suspects were found guilty by the court. The two other suspects were acquitted, according to the report.
“The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family,” Kardashian said in a statement after the May 2025 verdict.
“While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all. I remain committed to advocating for justice, and promoting a fair legal system,” the alum stated in the May 2025 release.
On Tuesday, the Paris court awarded 109,516 euros, or $126,472, to a former receptionist at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, The Associated Press reported.
The Hôtel de Pourtalès itself, which is where Kardashian was staying at the time of the robbery, was also awarded 50,000 euros, or $57,741, according to the outlet.
