A San Diego couple and their 11-year-old daughter were found dead inside their home on Wednesday morning, police said.
The husband, the wife and their daughter resided at the property on Boulder Lake Avenue in the city’s Lake Murray neighborhood, according to authorities.
The three family members were discovered dead inside the $1 million residence, police said.
San Diego police officers were called to the address shortly before 8:20 a.m. on Wednesday, according to 10 News.
Officers were dispatched to the Boulder Lake Avenue property after receiving a welfare check call, police said.
The check was initiated after a neighbor noticed the 11-year-old girl had not left for school on Wednesday morning, according to 10 News.
That neighbor had previously been given a key to the house to pet sit for the family, according to reports.
The neighbor went inside the residence after becoming concerned and made the discovery of the bodies, police said.

The neighbor told authorities she had heard “loud bangs” coming from the home the previous night. But police were not called to the Boulder Lake Avenue address until Wednesday morning, according to reports.
Officers entering the home found two adults and a juvenile dead from gunshot wounds, police said.
The husband and wife were found dead inside a bedroom, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Their 11-year-old daughter was discovered dead in a separate room inside the residence, the newspaper reported.
A firearm was involved in the deaths inside the home, police confirmed to CBS 8.
Investigators are looking into the deaths as a possible murder-suicide. But police have not released details about who may have fired the weapon or the circumstances leading up to the tragedy, according to authorities.
There is no ongoing threat to the surrounding community, authorities said.
The identities of the three family members have not yet been released, according to police.
