“I THOUGHT THIS WAS MY FRIEND’S BACKYARD!”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, PROSECUTORS SAY OFFICERS RESPONDED TO A POSSIBLE BREAK-IN CALL AT A PENNSYLVANIA HOME… AND AN UPPER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP POLICE OFFICER SHOT AND KILLED 22-YEAR-OLD GLENWOOD EARL PYSHER IV BEHIND THE RESIDENCE.

A 22-year-old Pennsylvania man has been identified as the person killed in an officer-involved shooting in Upper Pottsgrove Township.
The shooting occurred early Sunday.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office identified him as Glenwood Earl Pysher IV.
Prosecutors said officers responded around 12:29 a.m. to a Snyder Road home.
The police response followed a 911 call reporting a possible break-in.
Police said they found a man behind the house.
An “encounter” followed, according to police.
Then an Upper Pottsgrove Township officer shot Pysher.
Pysher’s mother, Erin, said her son had gone into the wrong backyard by mistake.
She said he entered the yard because he thought it belonged to a friend.
She said he had been on the phone with friends shortly before he was shot.
According to his mother, Pysher was unarmed.
She said he was not trying to hurt anyone.

He previously played baseball at Northampton Community College.
Pysher was preparing to transfer to Saint Elizabeth University in New Jersey.
At Saint Elizabeth University, he planned to continue playing baseball.
He also planned to study to become a history teacher.
His mother said he was supposed to be starting school.
She said he was supposed to be continuing his life.
But “a small little error” ended up costing him everything, his mother said.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the shooting.
The district attorney’s office has not yet released its final findings.
There was a reported wrong backyard.
There was a 911 call.
And a 22-year-old college student was dead within minutes.
