A father whose three young children were strangled to death will break his silence following a mistrial in his ex-wife’s prosecution, according to a television network announcement.
Patrick Clancy and his wife, Rachel Danis, are speaking out for the first time since proceedings against Lindsay Clancy, 36, ended in a mistrial.
The sit-down interview is scheduled to air on 60 Minutes on Sunday, September 20, the program announced.
The news program announced on X that Danis would also be interviewed in the special alongside her husband.
Danis remained behind the scenes while Lindsay Clancy was on trial for the children’s deaths. By contrast, the father was a focal point throughout the court proceedings, according to reports.
A preview clip from the upcoming interview was shared on Thursday, September 17, by CBS Mornings.
“I talk to them,” Patrick Clancy said in the excerpt when speaking about his three deceased children.
When asked what he tells them, the father said he asks for help “all the time.”
The couple began dating in February 2024 following his divorce from Lindsay Clancy. They subsequently wed in April, the network reported.
The proceedings stemmed from the January 2023 deaths of the former couple’s children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, records show.
Patrick Clancy went out to run errands at the time the crimes took place, according to case accounts.
He returned home to find his then-wife injured after she jumped from the second story of their home in an apparent suicide attempt, the court heard.
The jump left Lindsay Clancy paralyzed from the waist down, according to reports.
As he called 911, the father discovered that all of their children had been strangled to death, court documents showed.

Patrick Clancy was involved in the trial and took the stand as the first witness to testify, records show.
As the trial made national headlines, conspiracy theories began to swirl that the father was involved in his kids’ deaths.
Patrick Clancy is expected to discuss the theories during the broadcast, according to the network.
The father called the claims “deeply harmful to the legacy of his children” and a “distraction to perinatal mental health.”
Prior to the interview, his attorney issued a statement threatening legal action against those spreading the conspiracy rumors.
“Over the past months, Patrick Clancy and his family have been subjected to a relentless, escalating and destructive defamation campaign,” attorney Howard Cooper said.
“This campaign of misinformation has been launched and promoted by minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists who appear intent on boosting their own social media profiles and potential profit by publishing what they know to be outright falsehoods that Patrick was somehow involved in the death of his young children and other vile claims,” Cooper said.
The attorney added that the allegations created “real life threats to his reputation, livelihood, and life.”
Cooper said the father wanted to focus on “preserving the memory of Cora, Dawson and Callan Clancy and supporting other women facing perinatal mental health challenges.”
“This spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop,” Cooper continued.
“Those responsible should understand that there will be consequences, and every appropriate measure will be pursued to hold them accountable, including legally,” the attorney said.
“Law enforcement has been notified,” the statement concluded.
During the trial, prosecutors argued that the mother understood what she was doing at the time of the killings. Lindsay Clancy never denied killing the three children, court proceedings showed.
Her defense argued she should not be held criminally responsible for their deaths because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time, according to court records.
The trial lasted nearly seven weeks and ended in a mistrial after one holdout juror refused to find Lindsay Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity, records show.
