A 35-year-old Monroe man is behind bars after an investigation by multiple Louisiana law enforcement agencies resulted in an extraordinary 518 criminal charges.
Johnny Williams Jr., 35, of Monroe, was arrested Tuesday by the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office.
On August 25, 2026, Williams was taken into custody.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, investigators allege Williams was uploading child sexual abuse material and other illegal files online.
The investigation ultimately resulted in authorities accusing Williams of possessing hundreds of illegal files.
Williams is now charged with 430 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
But investigators say the alleged material was not limited to children.
Authorities also charged Williams with 88 counts of sexual abuse of animals.

Combined, Williams is facing 518 counts.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation involving several law enforcement agencies.
According to the Attorney General’s Office, the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation participated in the investigation.
The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office also took part in the inquiry.
And the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office participated in the joint effort.
The West Monroe Police Department also assisted in the investigation, according to officials.
Authorities reported that no bond had been set following his arrest.
Williams remains in custody.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
