“I ONLY CLOSED MY HAND AROUND HIS THROAT”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY JAMES TILLMAN BRADLEY II VIOLENTLY SHOOK A 21-MONTH-OLD TODDLER AND OBSTRUCTED HIS AIRWAY… AND BOTH HE AND THE CHILD’S MOTHER NOW FACE UPGRADED HOMICIDE CHARGES.

In April, the alleged assault took place.
According to an arrest warrant, the incident happened in front of a witness.
The victim was 21-month-old Jasper Nesselrotte.
Authorities accuse James Tillman Bradley II of picking up the toddler.
Bradley allegedly shook the child violently.
He is accused of sitting the boy on his lap.
Bradley then closed a hand around the child’s throat.
He allegedly held it there until the toddler’s airway was obstructed.
Jasper was later heard gasping, according to a local report citing the final autopsy.
The child was difficult to wake.
He had dilated pupils.
The boy’s mother is 29-year-old Deanna Hilliard.
Hilliard drove him to the hospital.
Jasper was transferred to MUSC.
He later died.
The final autopsy identified blunt-force injuries to Jasper’s head and neck as his cause of death.
Yet the manner of death was classified as undetermined.
Investigators said additional evidence and forensic testing ultimately led them to pursue homicide charges.
