A 25-year-old man was taken into custody after a late-night bar bathroom fight allegedly escalated into a stabbing in downtown Duluth, police said.
Police identified the accused man as Kyle Eugene Heisler Jr., 25.
The violent confrontation occurred early Sunday morning inside a restroom at Ace’s, according to investigators.
Officers responded to the downtown establishment around 12:10 a.m. after receiving emergency reports that a person had been stabbed, police said.
Inside the bar, responding officers located a 37-year-old man suffering from injuries described as non-life-threatening. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.

Heisler allegedly took off from the scene on foot immediately after the stabbing took place, according to authorities.
The suspect did not make it particularly far. Officers reportedly caught Heisler in a foot chase just a few blocks away shortly afterward and took him into custody, police said.
The early morning altercation and subsequent arrest landed the 25-year-old in the county jail, according to authorities.
The suspect is expected to face multiple felony charges in connection with the incident, police said.
Specific charges had not yet been announced in the information released, and Heisler remains accused and has not been convicted, police said.
