An Indiana man was arrested after deputies found him asleep inside a vehicle sitting in the middle of a roadway with its lights off, police said.
Jamie Harrison, 56, of Indiana, was arrested following the early morning encounter, according to police.
A Marshall County sheriff’s deputy was patrolling near State Road 17 early Wednesday when he spotted the vehicle, police said.
The car was parked on 12th Road near Sycamore Road at about 2:30 in the morning, deputies said.
The Ford Edge was sitting in the middle of the roadway with its lights turned off, according to authorities.

Deputies did not find a vehicle breakdown, police said. Instead, investigators found Harrison and a woman sleeping inside, according to authorities.
A K-9 officer was called to the scene, police said.
A subsequent search allegedly uncovered suspected marijuana, authorities said. The search also uncovered drug paraphernalia that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to police.
The woman sleeping in the vehicle was released at the scene, police said.
The driver was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Bond for Harrison was set at $1,500, and his charges remain allegations, according to authorities.
