Damning texts revealed after Florida waitress Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly extorted businessman for $20,000

A 19-year-old Miami-Dade County woman is facing a criminal extortion charge after a relationship dispute allegedly escalated into a demand for thousands of dollars.

Authorities say Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez first encountered the victim while she was employed as a waitress at a restaurant located in Miami-Dade County.

Following that initial meeting, the two individuals entered into a romantic relationship.

According to the account provided by Rodriguez Gonzalez, she eventually discovered that the businessman had maintained a girlfriend during the entire period they were together.

Authorities say the actions that followed went far beyond merely confronting the businessman over the alleged deception.

Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly began sending the man a series of threatening text messages.

In those communications, she allegedly demanded a transfer of $20,000 directly from his bank account.

Police say she warned the businessman that she would add another $5,000 to the total demand if he failed to pay.

She also allegedly threatened to distribute intimate photographs of the man to both his girlfriend and his business partner.

In addition, Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly threatened to publish the intimate images publicly across her social media accounts.

But when the businessman refused to pay the demanded sum, investigators say she began following through on those threats.

She allegedly transmitted an intimate photograph of the businessman directly to his business partner.

Along with the image, she reportedly requested the phone number for the man’s girlfriend.

“Should I post this on my IG and tag everyone?” Rodriguez Gonzalez reportedly wrote.

Then, authorities say Rodriguez Gonzalez sent the intimate photograph directly to the man’s girlfriend.

“This will genuinely get posted if he doesn’t wire me money BTW,” she allegedly warned in that message.

Investigators allege that Rodriguez Gonzalez subsequently posted intimate images of the man to the social media platform TikTok.

And authorities allege that she continued to demand money from the victim throughout the ordeal.

Investigators documented several specific text messages attributed directly to Rodriguez Gonzalez during the exchange.

“Give me my money or I [will] escalate this worse,” one message attributed to her stated.

Another text message allegedly sent by Rodriguez Gonzalez brought up deportation.

“The deportation does not have to happen, but I want my money,” that message reportedly read.

Authorities also cited what they described as perhaps one of the most significant messages recovered during the investigation.

“Remember I was tryna scam him, Im finally getting to it,” Rodriguez Gonzalez allegedly wrote.

On August 24, the businessman reported the matter to law enforcement.

He went in person to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Kendall District station.

While at the station, the man reportedly identified Rodriguez Gonzalez from a photograph.

Authorities moved in to arrest her at her home the following Friday.

According to investigators, Rodriguez Gonzalez subsequently provided what law enforcement described as a “full confession.”

She was formally charged with threats/extortion.

Corrections officers booked her into the Turner Guilford Correctional Center.

Rodriguez Gonzalez was later released from custody after posting a $7,500 bond.

The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
