A Delaware man allegedly robbed a bank while disguised in a wig before changing clothes inside a fast-food restroom, police said.
Troopers identified the suspect as 26-year-old Demetrius Frith-Thompson of Milford, Delaware.
On August 29, 2026, troopers responded to a reported robbery at a WSFS Bank in Rehoboth Beach around 9:50 a.m., police said.
A man entered the bank, handed an employee a demand note, and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was involved, and no injuries were reported, investigators said.
Frith-Thompson allegedly entered the bank wearing tight clothing and a wig as part of a female disguise, police said.
As the investigation continued, detectives identified 39-year-old Mark Smith of Ellendale, Delaware, as a second suspect, according to police.

Smith allegedly helped Frith-Thompson plan and commit the robbery and drove him to the area near the bank beforehand, investigators said.
After the robbery, Frith-Thompson allegedly discarded his disguise and went into a nearby Chick-fil-A bathroom, where he changed clothes, police said.
The suspect then met back up with Smith, and the two fled the area, investigators said.
On September 3, 2026, Frith-Thompson turned himself in to police, authorities said.
The accused man was charged with second-degree robbery and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, police said. He was arraigned and released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
On September 8, 2026, Smith was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy, according to police.
Smith was held on a $6,000 secured bond and a probation violation, police said.
