A 23-year-old Columbia man was arrested Tuesday after a two-hour standoff near Boone Hospital, police said.

Ethan J. McCauley, 23, is from Columbia, according to court records.
McCauley was wanted on charges of felony fleeing police, armed criminal action and felony resisting arrest, court records show.
The counts stemmed from an incident that took place on May 11, according to court documents.
On that date, one of McCauley’s stepparents called police to report the suspect had been banging on their door with a gun, records state.
McCauley allegedly fired a shot outside the home before leaving, according to the documents.
The suspect then led officers on a pursuit through rural roads in a Polaris Slingshot, police said.

During the chase, McCauley allegedly traveled at speeds of more than 100 mph, according to investigators.
McCauley eventually abandoned the three-wheeled vehicle in a driveway and ran, investigators said.
A passenger in the vehicle was caught and allegedly told police that McCauley had a gun sitting on his lap during the pursuit, investigators said. Empty alcohol containers were also found inside the Slingshot, according to police.
McCauley was taken into custody Tuesday following a separate standoff on Fyfer Place, police said.
The two-hour standoff forced officers to shut down a section of East Broadway near Boone Hospital, authorities said.
A 21-year-old woman, Georgina Hovoni, was also arrested during the Tuesday operation, police said. No charges had been publicly posted against Hovoni as of Wednesday morning, court records show.
McCauley’s bond was set at $75,000, according to court records.
