“I NEED MY CAR BACK TO PAY MY LEGAL BILLS”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, POLICE SAY A PHILADELPHIA MAN ARRESTED WITH LOADED WEAPONS AND A FAKE DEA BADGE WAS TIED TO A HARD DRIVE SHOWING THE BODIES OF MISSING WOMEN… AND HE IS NOW ASKING A JUDGE TO RETURN HIS SEIZED VEHICLE TO COVER HIS DEFENSE.
Eugene Horsch is 44 years old.
He lives in Philadelphia.
Horsch is currently at the center of an expanding criminal investigation.
Now, he is asking a judge to return his 2023 BMW 530XE.
He wants the vehicle back so he can use it to help pay his legal bills.
His attorneys have submitted a motion requesting the return of the car.
They argue that the drugs allegedly found inside the BMW were solely for personal use.
They maintain that there is no evidence the vehicle was ever used to facilitate drug trafficking.
That legal effort comes as investigators continue to look into the broader case.
The case began on the streets of Philadelphia earlier this year.
In June, police conducted a traffic stop in Center City.
Officers stopped Horsch alongside an unnamed woman.
Police arrested Horsch during that stop.
Inside the vehicle, officers allegedly discovered illegal drugs.
They allegedly found two loaded guns inside the vehicle.
Officers also allegedly recovered a fake DEA badge from the car.
But the case soon moved far beyond a routine guns-and-drugs arrest.
Investigators continued their work at Horsch’s home on Chew Avenue.
Police conducted searches across the Chew Avenue property.
They say those searches uncovered guns.
They found gun parts.
They found ammunition.

Police say the residence housed a marijuana grow operation.
Officers discovered fake federal identification inside the home.
They seized computers from the property.
They also seized chemicals.
Police say the search of the home yielded more than 120 pieces of ballistic evidence.
Investigators also found a 55-gallon drum on the property.
That 55-gallon drum was connected directly to water lines.
Later, investigators excavated part of the property.
That excavation work included digging up a sewer pipe.
Then came the hard drive.
Authorities say the hard drive contained digital photos and videos.
Those files showed the bodies of two missing women.
One of the women shown was Gabriella Armarando, who was 22 years old.
The other woman was Maribel Fresses, who was 27.
And the investigation reached into other missing persons files.
Police have previously investigated Horsch’s possible connections to Amy McHale.
McHale has been missing since 2016.
Investigators also looked into potential connections to Blair Tonzelli.
Tonzelli’s name allegedly appeared on fake identification tied to the woman who was in the car with Horsch.
Yet no homicide charges have been announced against Horsch.
Police stress that the investigation remains active.
Horsch’s next court appearance has been pushed to January.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
