She argued with her billionaire boss’s poster, then kissed it without knowing he was standing right behind her.
“Five seconds, Miss Summers; that wasn’t stress, that was commitment.”
Alexia Summers was having a terrible day.
She had spent one year as Elliot Hawkins’s executive assistant: one year of perfect coffee ignored, flawless reports accepted without a thank-you, and constant sarcasm delivered in a cool, clipped tone.
That morning, he had shot down her proposal in front of the board with four humiliating words: “Interesting, Miss Summers, but no.”
By eight in the evening, the office was empty, and Alexia was alone, furious, and too exhausted to maintain her professional composure.

She stood up from her desk to burn off the anger boiling in her veins and walked down the hallway.
That was when she saw the Forbes poster on the reception wall, and something inside her broke.
Elliot Hawkins’s perfect face smiled from the glossy magazine cover, captured in a studied 30 Under 30 pose with an air of natural superiority.
“You,” Alexia said, pointing at the poster as if it could hear her. “You are impossible.”
“One year, Elliot; a whole year, and you treat me like I’m part of the office furniture.”
“The coffee I make every day exactly the way you like it? You don’t even look at it. The reports I prepare with every comma in place? Adequate.”
The poster kept smiling that annoyingly attractive smile, making everything worse because he had no right to be so absurdly handsome while being completely insufferable.
“And you know the worst part?” she took another step closer. “You’re hot, ridiculously hot! Why the hell do you have to be so… so you?”
Her hand touched the smooth surface of the poster as she caressed his printed face.
“I bet you don’t even find me pretty; you only notice those leggy models you go out with.”
“Do you want me, Elliot? Of course not; I’m just the efficient assistant whose name you probably wouldn’t even remember if I weren’t always there with reports in hand.”
“Oh, shut up,” she murmured to the poster.
Then, in a moment of absolute insanity, she leaned in and kissed the glossy paper right on two-dimensional Elliot’s mouth.
She was about to pull away when a voice behind her made her heart stop.
“Interesting feedback technique, Miss Summers.”
His voice was real, three-dimensional, coming from ten feet behind her.
She spun around so fast she almost twisted her ankle in her heels, finding Elliot Hawkins in the flesh.
The room started spinning, her blood pressure plummeted, and everything went dark.
When she opened her eyes again, she was lying on the leather couch in Elliot’s office with Elliot kneeling beside her, holding a glass of water.
“You fainted,” he said gently.
“You saw me kissing your poster?” she asked.
“I did.”
“From the ‘you’re so hot’ part?”
Elliot smiled smoothly. “Actually.”
PART 2
Elliot looked into my eyes with a warmth I had never seen before.
“I heard from the moment you called me impossible, Alexia,” Elliot confessed smoothly.
Mortification flooded my chest, but Elliot sat beside me on the couch.
“I rejected your proposal to the board because I didn’t want company investors diluting it,” Elliot explained.
“I want to personally fund it as a joint venture with you as equal partners.”
I stared at him in utter disbelief.
“And as for being insufferable,” Elliot added with a soft smirk, “I used sarcasm because company policy forbade me from asking out my assistant.”
“I’ve been crazy about you since the day you walked in.”
He offered me a promotion to Vice President of Innovation so we could work as equals and date openly.
Before I could answer, Elliot leaned in, pulling me into a passionate, breathtaking real kiss!
Over the next three months, our romance blossomed into an incredible high-society partnership.
But trouble arose when a bitter rival executive, Richard, attempted to leak fake corporate scandals to ruin our upcoming merger!
PART 3
Elliot and I walked hand-in-hand into the international press conference.
On live television, Elliot presented forensic IT evidence proving Richard had hacked company files and fabricated false stories.
Police officers entered the auditorium, arresting Richard for corporate espionage and slander.
With the company saved, Elliot led me back to the reception area, right in front of the famous Forbes poster.
The entire staff watched as the billionaire CEO dropped to one knee before me.
He pulled out an magnificent diamond ring, his green eyes shining with deep love.
“Alexia Summers, will you marry me and be my partner forever?” Elliot asked softly.
Tears of pure happiness filled my eyes as I answered: “Yes, Elliot! Yes!”
PART 4
Richard was convicted of corporate espionage and extortion, receiving a five-year prison sentence.
My innovation department flourished, launching multi-million-dollar sustainable technology projects worldwide.
Elliot and I were married in a breathtaking, sunlit ceremony overlooking the city skyline.
Elliot had the Forbes poster framed and hung inside his master study at home as our favorite keepsake.
One year later, late at night in our penthouse office, I walked up to Elliot’s desk with a fresh cup of coffee.
Elliot looked up with green eyes full of love, wrapping his strong arms around my waist and pulling me onto his lap.
He took a sip of the coffee, smiling warmly. “Perfect temperature, as always.”
He kissed me deeply, whispering into my ear: “You kissed my poster… and gave me my whole life forever.”
I held my husband tight, knowing our love was real, whole, and eternal forever.
