An Ohio mother is facing new felony charges after allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with a teenage family member, according to an indictment.
Elizabeth Siders, 33, appeared in court on Wednesday, September 16, to face the allegations, according to records viewed by People.
The indictment accuses the mother of “engaging in sexual conduct” with an individual between the ages of 13 and 16 who is also a family member, the outlet reported.
In light of the new allegations, the defendant faces two additional counts of sexual battery and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, court documents state.
Her husband, 36-year-old Gary Siders II, faces the same charges of sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, records show.
Vinton County Prosecutor William Archer said the alleged victim is not a member of the mother’s immediate family.
The prosecutor stated instead that the “child sex abuse case involves intrafamily relations,” according to the report.
Siders reportedly did not speak during her latest court appearance, where her bail was set at $250,000, per the outlet. She was also ordered to have no contact with her husband.
Following the proceeding, defense attorney Thomas Stolly said he is still waiting for the results of a competency evaluation to come through.
“I have competency concerns when it comes to my client,” he said.
“Part of the reason that I raise these competency concerns were, when we’re discussing these charges, we’re discussing the implications — the legal impact of serious felony charges like this — I’m not sure that she’s fully understanding the impact,” Stolly said.

Stolly added that the mother is desperate to see her 16 children. She had previously been ordered to have no contact with them, according to reports.
The investigation into the married couple began in December 2025 following “allegations of sexual abuse involving two children,” according to Vinton County Sheriff Ryan Cain.
Cain said that a second investigation began in March regarding alleged unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
A grand jury subsequently voted to indict both Elizabeth and Gary II on the sex abuse charges, according to the sheriff.
Legal troubles for the couple first made headlines in June, when authorities arrested them alongside the husband’s parents, Christina Siders and Gary Siders Sr.
The four adults were arrested for keeping their 16 children in a home riddled with horrifying conditions, according to reports.
Siders, her husband, and 67-year-old Christina Siders are each facing 19 counts of child endangerment in connection with the case, records show.
Gary Siders Sr., 73, is facing 16 counts of child endangerment in that same matter.
The elder Siders took a competency test following his arrest. He was deemed not competent to stand trial on September 9, court records show.
During the September 16 hearing, Siders pleaded not guilty to all counts, according to NBC 24.
Gary Siders II and Christina Siders have also pleaded not guilty to the charges they are facing, according to the network.
