A 38-year-old New York father whose three young children were killed has faced an onslaught of threats and conspiracy theories, according to an upcoming interview.
Patrick Clancy, 38, remarried in April and now lives in New York.
Infertility specialist Dr. Rachel Danis joined the grieving father for an upcoming appearance on “60 Minutes,” according to the network.
The sit-down marks his first interview since his ex-wife’s mistrial for murdering their three children, the network reported.
Interviewer Ross Douthat sat down with Clancy and Danis for the television segment, according to “60 Minutes.”
A clip from the upcoming broadcast was teased on the network Friday morning, the program announced.
Clancy’s new wife ripped the attacks against him since his ex-wife killed their children, according to the broadcast clip.
Since the trial began, the father has faced an onslaught of sick threats alleging his involvement in the death of his kids, according to the report. But the conspiracy theories remain unfounded.
“I don’t understand how the story’s been so twisted,” Danis said in the clip teased on the network.
“But I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner,” she said.
Danis also defended herself from people who have criticized their love story, according to the broadcast.
The specialist addressed those who have criticized their relationship, according to the broadcast. But she insisted there was nothing wrong with how they met.
“I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday,” she said. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”
Clancy was left childless in 2023 after returning to his Massachusetts home, according to the report.
He arrived home and discovered that his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, had strangled their three children, the report stated.
The victims were identified as 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan, according to the report.
Lindsay Clancy subsequently faced a seven-week-long murder trial in connection with the strangulation deaths, according to court proceedings.
Defense attorney Kevin Reddington represented the mother in court during the criminal trial, according to the report.
Her defense team argued that she should be found not guilty by reason of insanity, the report stated.
The murder trial ended on Sept. 4 after the jury deliberated for seven days, according to court records. But jurors ultimately failed to reach a verdict.
The proceedings were declared a mistrial when deliberations broke down, according to the report.
Eleven jurors agreed she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis, according to the report. But one holdout kept them from reaching a unanimous decision.
