An Alabama man was arrested in Louisiana after allegedly burning a hunting cabin in an insurance scheme, authorities said.
Thomas Norman II is from Semmes, Alabama.
The suspect was charged with first-degree insurance fraud and second-degree arson, according to authorities.
On August 21, a fire burned a hunting cabin in Coffeeville, according to the Alabama State Fire Marshal.

The blaze was not simply an accident, investigators alleged. Norman is accused of arson connected to insurance fraud, authorities said.
The case did not end in Alabama, according to officials. On September 13, U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested Norman in New Orleans, authorities said.
Both offenses filed against the suspect are felony charges, according to authorities.
Norman has been charged but has not been convicted, and the allegations against him remain to be proven in court, records show.
The defendant is expected to be extradited back to Alabama to face both felony charges, authorities said.
