An Arizona realtor had to be duct-taped to his seat after allegedly going berserk on a flight to Newark, according to court audio obtained by The Banner.
Layne Lundeen, 67, is an Arizona realtor who was let go from his job after the episode went viral.
Lundeen allegedly unleashed a racist and homophobic tirade during the American Airlines flight, reports state.
The outburst was so severe that fellow passengers were forced to restrain him. The mid-air episode prompted the plane to make an emergency landing in Baltimore, according to reports.
The traveler appeared before a judge a day after his arrest.

Lundeen claimed he had no recollection of the mortifying mid-air incident as court proceedings got underway, according to The Banner.
“I don’t remember any of what happened,” the defendant said, according to the audio.
The suspect then put on his glasses and reviewed the accusations against him. “I assaulted a police officer? Is that what it says?” he reportedly said.
“Oh my God. What a mess. I don’t remember any of it,” Lundeen added as he looked over the allegations.
The realtor told the judge he had been traveling to help one of his daughters move into her new apartment.
He had also been traveling to celebrate her birthday, he told the court.
