A 63-year-old Dallas man allegedly kidnapped and repeatedly raped a lost 14-year-old girl after offering her a ride home, federal prosecutors said.

David Michael Klepak, 63, lives in a duplex on Winton Street in Dallas.
The 14-year-old girl had left her grandmother’s Lakewood-area home for a walk in late July, according to an arrest affidavit.
She entered the suspect’s luxury vehicle and quickly realized he was not driving toward her house, court records state.
The driver allegedly offered the girl crystal meth from a glass pipe, investigators said.
He then took her to his cluttered duplex on Winton Street and held her captive for about three days, prosecutors alleged.
The defendant allegedly drugged and repeatedly raped the child during that time, according to court documents. He also yelled when she refused narcotics and threatened to kill her, prosecutors said.
A family member found the missing teenager around August 2 and took her to a Dallas police precinct, police said.
She described the man’s distinct jewelry, his duplex and his vehicles, including a Bentley, a Lexus and two BMWs. Those details helped detectives identify Klepak, police said.
Officers later stopped the driver while he operated the Bentley, according to police.
During the traffic stop, officers found 17 glass pipes containing residue inside the vehicle, the affidavit states.
Klepak later admitted during a police interview that he had sex with the 14-year-old, according to the arrest affidavit.
Dallas police arrested him on a charge of second-degree felony sexual assault of a child.
Federal prosecutors filed a separate kidnapping charge on August 27 and announced it on September 1.
The defendant faces up to life in federal prison if convicted on the kidnapping charge, officials said.
CBS Texas reported that he remained in the Dallas County Jail on a $300,000 state bond on August 5. The Justice Department did not state his current federal detention terms.
