West Virginia deputies arrest Jesse Reynolds over Cross Lanes car break-ins — recovering AirPods, wallets, and documents allegedly stolen from multiple vehicles

A string of vehicle break-ins in the Cross Lanes area prompted an investigation by local law enforcement.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office launched the inquiry after deputies responded to an initial vehicle break-in on Kel-Dawn Circle.

As deputies investigated the incident, they worked to develop a list of potential suspects.

That list led investigators to Jesse Reynolds.

Deputies later located Reynolds along Drexel Place.

He was taken into custody there on outstanding warrants.

But the probe quickly expanded beyond the initial arrest.

Deputies say their broader investigation into the string of vehicle break-ins led directly to recovered property.

Investigators believe the items had been stolen from multiple cars.

The recovered belongings were tied to several neighborhood streets.

Deputies said they recovered property believed to be connected to break-ins on Kel-Dawn Circle.

Other seized items were linked to break-ins on Keith Drive.

And deputies identified additional property tied to break-ins along Alpine Drive.

The recovered property spanned a wide variety of personal belongings.

Wallets were among the items deputies reported finding.

Investigators allegedly recovered identification cards.

Credit cards and debit cards were also listed among the seized goods.

Official vehicle documents had reportedly been taken as well.

Electronics were recovered, including Apple AirPods.

Deputies also took possession of other personal property believed to belong to victims.

Following the recovery, authorities confirmed that criminal complaints are being filed against Reynolds in connection with the vehicle break-ins.

Reynolds was taken to the South Central Regional Jail.

He is currently being held at the facility on three separate bonds tied to outstanding warrants.

The vehicle break-in investigation remains active.

Deputies said additional charges may be pending as the case continues.

Reynolds is accused, not convicted, in the break-in investigation.

The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
