“I AM NOT DROPPING THESE KNIVES”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, POLICE SAY 49-YEAR-OLD PAMELA CISNEROS CARRIED OUT A RANDOM AND UNPROVOKED TIMES SQUARE STABBING SPREE… AND OFFICERS FATALLY SHOT HER AFTER SHE REFUSED TO LET GO OF HER WEAPONS.

On Monday, a 32-year-old Bank of America executive was fatally stabbed in Times Square, according to reports.
The victim was identified as Erin Piacenti.

Piacenti had recently returned to her executive role after giving birth to a baby girl, according to reports.
Her return followed five months of maternity leave, The New York Times reported.
The fatal attack occurred during what was Piacenti’s first week back at work.
She was on her way home from work when the incident took place, according to The New York Times.
Police said she was stabbed in Times Square in New York by 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros.
In February 2025, Piacenti started working for Bank of America, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She was the company’s vice president for business selection & conflicts, Us previously reported.
Ahead of Piacenti’s death, she and her husband, Frank, recently bought their first home in Chester, New Jersey, according to property records viewed by People.
They were both lawyers.
The couple met while students at Fordham University, The New York Times reported.
Joseph Landau, the dean of Fordham’s law school, wrote about the couple in a letter addressed to alumni.
“Erin was a vibrant and cherished member of the Fordham Law family,” the letter said.
“During her time at Fordham, she distinguished herself through her academic devotion, sharp legal mind, warmth and generosity to her peers.”
Days before the deadly attack, Piacenti shared a photo on social media, according to the newspaper.
The photograph showed her holding her baby girl alongside her husband.
In the post, she mentioned her daughter’s recent baptism.
She expressed gratitude for her months of maternity leave.
Her daughter was her first child, per a GoFundMe established in support of the girl’s future.
The infant was named Madison.
Cisneros did not target Piacenti first.
A woman first stabbed a 68-year-old man, The New York Times reported.
Police confirmed that the man had been stabbed by Cisneros seconds earlier.
The man survived the attack.
He was taken to a hospital, according to police.
Then, Cisneros stabbed Piacenti in the stomach, The New York Times reported.
Afterward, Piacenti was declared dead at Bellevue hospital.
Cisneros had been armed with two knives, according to Tisch.
After allegedly stabbing Piacenti, Cisneros was fatally shot by police, The Journal News reported.
On Monday, August 31, NYPD Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch addressed the fatal encounter during a news conference.
But Cisneros was accused of not complying with orders to let go of the two knives she had been armed with, according to Tisch.
Tisch said during the news conference that the stabbings were “random and unprovoked.”
And Cisneros had a “documented mental health history,” Tisch said.
In a statement on her death, a Bank of America representative spoke to the tragedy, per The Journal News.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague,” the representative said.
“She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones,” the statement continued.
