Wisconsin caregiver gets 10 years in fatal shove: ‘If anybody snitch on me, I’m going to get on that’

A former senior care facility caregiver in Wisconsin has learned her fate after being arrested for shoving an elderly resident who later died from complications of her injuries.

Abrianna Clark, 28, was found guilty of second-degree reckless homicide and physical abuse of an elder.

The guilty verdict was delivered in an Ozaukee County courtroom on Monday, August 31.

Following the verdict, Clark was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison.

She was also sentenced to serve 10 years of extended supervision.

Clark was arrested following a series of events that took place at Story Point Senior Living in Mequon surrounding the assault of the resident in 2024.

According to her criminal complaint viewed by WITI, Clark allegedly spoke to her coworkers about the incident afterward.

The complaint stated that Clark threatened her colleagues not to say anything about what occurred.

Prosecutors claimed she issued a direct warning to other staff members at the facility.

Prosecutors claimed she told her coworkers, “If anybody snitch on me, I’m going to get on that.”

Meanwhile, the criminal complaint detailed the prior relationship between the caregiver and the resident.

According to the complaint, the victim “appeared to be fearful of Clark” prior to the assault.

On November 14, 2024, officers with the Mequon Police Department were dispatched to the Story Point facility.

Officers responded after receiving a report of “physical abuse to an elderly person in the memory care unit,” per the complaint.

Upon their arrival, officers learned that Clark allegedly pushed the 76-year-old victim.

The resident was then taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Hospital staff treated the victim for a broken femur.

The facility director spoke to responding officers regarding the alleged altercation.

The director claimed Clark “had pushed (the victim) to the ground” and admitted to doing so afterward.

Clark reportedly shoved the victim after the elderly patient “hit her with a ruler, and broke her glasses.”

A facility staff member also spoke with authorities about Clark’s admissions.

The staff member claimed that Clark admitted she “pushed her” about five times.

But Clark gave a different account when questioned directly by law enforcement officers.

While speaking to police, Clark insisted she “did not push” the victim.

Instead, Clark claimed that she found the woman on the bathroom floor after the resident fell on her own.

Clark was initially charged with “physical abuse of elder person — recklessly cause great bodily harm” for the incident, according to court records viewed by Us.

Then the situation escalated two months later.

On January 27, 2025, authorities were notified that the victim had died at Story Point.

The victim’s cause of death was determined to be “complication of left hip fracture.”

Following the victim’s death, prosecutors moved to amend the charges filed against the former caregiver.

On May 20, 2025, prosecutors filed homicide charges against Clark.

And on May 22, 2025, prosecutors dismissed the original elder abuse case against Clark following the new homicide filing.

Following her trial and sentencing on the charges, Clark remains scheduled for further court proceedings.

Clark is next scheduled to return to court for a restitution hearing on September 8.
