“ANOTHER SENTENCE WILL NOT STOP ME”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY 21-YEAR-OLD REASE PENCE SHOT AND KILLED 14-YEAR-OLD GAVIN BLANKENSHIP IN MAY 2022… AND HE HAS NOW BEEN SENTENCED TO AN ADDITIONAL 40 TO 60 YEARS IN PRISON.
A 21-year-old man convicted of murdering a teenager has been handed a new prison sentence.
Rease Pence was sentenced to 40 to 60 years in prison for the death of 14-year-old Gavin Blankenship.
In May 2022, Pence shot and killed Gavin.
The fatal shooting occurred at the Arbor Trails apartment complex.
The apartment complex is located in Niles, Michigan.
In December, a Berrien County jury convicted Pence on multiple charges in the case.
But the newly imposed sentence is not his first murder term.
Pence is already serving 122½ years in prison for two other murders.
Those previous convictions arose from the 2022 killings of two women in Niles.
The new 40-to-60-year prison sentence will run consecutively to that existing time.

Gavin’s family packed the courtroom for the sentencing hearing.
His sister was present at the apartment complex when the 14-year-old was shot.
She addressed the court during the proceedings.
She told the court that the fatal killing still follows her.
“I hear the shots ringing in my head,” she said.
Fourteen-year-old Gavin Blankenship is dead.
His sister witnessed the shooting firsthand.
And Pence was already serving more than a century behind bars for two other homicides.
Then the court ordered that his newest prison term run consecutively.
Pence faced the Berrien County jury that convicted him in December.
He now stands sentenced to an additional 40 to 60 years for Gavin’s murder.
