“YOU ARE NOT LEAVING ME”!!! BELIEVE IT OR NOT, AUTHORITIES SAY CHARLES CARSON-DOWDY TOOK AN UBER 60 MILES WITH A LOADED HANDGUN, SHOT AIR FORCE SENIOR AIRMAN STARMICHAEL TUCKER 14 TIMES IN FLORIDA, RAN HER OVER WITH HER OWN CAR, AND HAS NOW BEEN SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON.

On January 2, 2025, at around 8 p.m., deputies responded to The Crossings at Nine Mile Road Apartment Homes in Pensacola, Florida, regarding a shooting.
Upon arrival, deputies found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot.
She had also been intentionally run over with a vehicle.
She was transported to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The victim was identified as 30-year-old Starmichael “Star” Tucker.
Tucker was a U.S. Air Force Senior Airman assigned to the 919th Special Operations Medical Squadron.
She was originally from California.
She graduated from Florida A&M University with a nursing degree.
She left behind a young son.
Tucker had been dating Charles Carson-Dowdy since around October 2024.
During their relationship, Carson-Dowdy used cellular phones, the internet, and a ridesharing service as part of a pattern intended to harass and intimidate Tucker.
In late December 2024, Tucker traveled to California to visit family for the holidays.
While she was there, the couple had a series of escalating arguments through text messages.
On January 1, 2025, Tucker returned to Florida.
She attempted to end the relationship with Carson-Dowdy through text messages.
Carson-Dowdy then ordered an Uber and traveled approximately 60 miles from Mobile to Tucker’s home in Pensacola.
He was armed with a handgun and an extra loaded magazine.

He entered Tucker’s apartment without permission.
And he waited inside for her to return.
On January 2, Tucker left the apartment.
Carson-Dowdy followed her outside.
Carson-Dowdy fired approximately four shots at Tucker from behind.
The gunfire caused her to collapse in the parking lot.
Then Carson-Dowdy walked over to Tucker as she lay on the ground.
He shot her approximately 10 more times at close range.
Carson-Dowdy then got into Tucker’s vehicle.
He deliberately drove over her body multiple times.
He fled the scene in Tucker’s vehicle.
But a short time later, law enforcement located Carson-Dowdy in Spanish Fort, Alabama, after the vehicle developed a flat tire.
The handgun used to kill Tucker was recovered from inside the vehicle.
In April 2026, Carson-Dowdy pleaded guilty in federal court.
His plea included murder through use of a firearm.
It included cyberstalking.
It included interstate domestic violence.
It also included possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
On August 25, 2026, Carson-Dowdy was sentenced to life in prison.
