WITH around three years left to live, Paul Foreman is trying to make as many happy memories as he can.
But in a devastating twist, the builder played by Peter Ash makes a shocking request to Billy Mayhew next week in Coronation Street.

Paul was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) earlier this year after being crashed into by Carla Connor.
Since then, the beloved character has tried to adapt to his new life as he found out he may only have up to three years to live – but the diagnosis hasn’t been easy to accept.

His partner Billy Mayhew (portrayed by Daniel Brocklebank) was kept in the dark before eventually finding out the truth and he’s been trying to support Paul as much as he can.
Coming up next week on ITV, while waiting for his appointment at the MND clinic, Paul finds himself sitting next to Shelly from the support group.

Paul is impressed by her positive attitude as Shelly urges him to take control – if there’s something he’s always dreamt of doing, he’ll have to go through with it while he still can.
In later scenes, he tells Billy how Shelly’s helped him to see things more clearly and he has something important to ask him.

As Billy excitedly tells Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) he’s expecting a marriage proposal, his bubble is quickly burst by Paul.
The builder steals himself before telling Billy that when the time comes, he’d like him to help him end his life.
How will Billy react?

Could he help Paul end his life despite his religious beliefs?
The vicar most recently forgave Paul being unfaithful to him with a former boyfriend after a fundraising event organised for his benefit.
Could this be the last straw for him?
Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
