Joe Rogan recently gave his take on Paddy Pimblett’s controversial win over Jared Gordon.
Pimblett fought Gordon at UFC 282 in December last year, with the judges awarding a unanimous decision win to ‘The Baddy’. The majority of the MMA community labeled the decision a “robbery,” with MMA Junkie even awarding the bout Robbery of the Year for 2022.
There could only be one: Paddy Pimblett's controversial win over Jared Gordon is MMA Junkie's Robbery of the Year for 2022. 🤨

On episode #134 of The JRE MMA Show, Joe Rogan and guest Belal Muhammad revisted the Paddy Pimblett vs. Jared Gordon fight. Rogan shared that he believes Gordon deserved the judges’ nod and that Pimblett could find himself out of depth when he takes on a step-up in competition. The UFC commentator said:
“Yeah, he [Jared Gordon] got f***ed and that’s unfortunate. You know, I don’t like when someone gets by just because they’re famous and they have this big personality and everybody loves them. The problem with that is people are gonna be rooting against him now in the next fight and so now he’s gonna go in there against someone and maybe he’s gonna go in against someone who’s on another level.”
Belal Muhammad also remarked that he believes Paddy Pimblett doesn’t take his preparations for fight camps all that seriously, given how much weight he gains in-between fights.
